Movie studios spend millions of dollars on audio and visual effects to thrill large audiences in large theaters. To bring the cinema experience home, we don't need all the equipment used in commercial theaters, but then, five small speakers and a subwoofer aren't going to cut it, either.
Over the past few years, mass merchants have blurred the definition of home theater, to the point that production firms (such as Lucasfilm™) have created standards for home theaters to meet in order to properly reproduce films the way they were intended.
There are many ways to bring the theater experience home, and each solution is unique to each room. Because of this, Smarthome and Theater Systems offers a site analysis to come up with the best solution for the room. We use the most reliable components on the market, suited to your individual needs.

In this front wall elevation several important elements are noted. The entire wall is covered with black acoustical panels. The panels help with sound absorption to dampen 'slap echo'. The subwoofer is actually BEHIND the front wall in an unfinished part of the basement. The framing and sheetrock had to be cut and the black panel has a cutout. The fabric is stretched across so the subwoofer is heard but NOT seen. Crown and base molding hide the fact that this room was built years ago out of level. Proper time and engineer can fix any problem and create a beautiful theater you will enjoy for years.
The most important part of any home theater or media room is its ease of use. How can you enjoy your theater if it takes an engineer to operate it and a juggler to hold the remote controls? At Smarthome and Theater Systems, we understand that simplicity is crucial to a good home theater. We make the easiest-to-use custom control systems for every kind of home theater, using our own proven design; this level of simplicity is not available from anyone else.
